Champion of the Year Season is Here!
Best Buddies Champion of the Year is a competitive fundraising campaign that unites and recognizes leaders of inclusion in local communities nationwide.
Champion Candidates commit to raising funds and awareness for Best Buddies throughout their campaign. Our Champions advocate for the Best Buddies mission and will generate countless opportunities for friendships, jobs, and leadership development. At the Best Buddies Champion of the Year celebration, we honor the Champions’ collective impact and name the ultimate Champion of the Year!
Meet our 2023 Champion of the Year Candidates!
In the spirit of community, a HUGE shoutout to our fellow Best Buddies in Georgia school candidates, Addison and Ginger from Riverwood International Charter School, and our faculty advisor, Kaity White from Ebenezer Elementary for serving as candidates this year!

What is in the world is Leader’s League?
Leader’s League is a chance to connect with other Best Buddies leaders nationwide (Expansion) and statewide with your program manager (PM). If you can’t make a monthly call, please feel free to pass along the Zoom info to your Vice President or another officer!
As always, if you need anything outside of these monthly calls, you can always shoot your PM, Doug, an e-mail to set up a time to chat one-on-one. We are also doing a raffle, so please try to jump on with us!
Remind and GroupMe

We are increasing our chapter support by using Remind to send updates and GroupMe to facilitate the exchange of ideas for a successful year. We hope you join our community!
In the spirit of collaboration, you can use these spaces (including BB360’s Chatter feature) to speak with other chapter leaders to exchange event ideas, fundraiser concepts, BB360 troubleshooting, share event photos, great news, helpful tips, etc.

Buddy Spotlight - Meet Lila Burns and Blake Askew!

Lila Burns and Blake Askew are two students in our Best Buddies at Ebenezer Elementary chapter in Rincon, GA! Please see the quote below from our faculty advisor, Kaity White.
“These two have developed a friendship even before we got Best Buddies started. Best Buddies has provided more opportunities for these two to spend time together and grow their bond. The pictures of them speaks volumes!”
We are beyond excited to have Lila, Blake, Kaity, and the students and faculty at Ebenezer Elementary as a part of our Best Buddies in Georgia community! Thank you so much for remaining engaged with us.
If you have a student or buddy pair to highlight for our next Buddy Beat, please submit them via email at [email protected] or include their information in the check-in form. Thank you!
